HOUSTON, TX – Jan. 9, 2018 – Over the past month, Enaxis completed a comprehensive consulting project for Houston area non-profit, ASSiST. The goal of the project was to design and implement an “agile for students” methodology, to help the ASSiST team better manage projects and processes.
ASSiST is a 501(c)(3) organization, supported by volunteer efforts. The organization’s mission is to spread knowledge of STEM education and robotics to students in the greater Houston area. Through ASSiST, students ages nine through 18 participate in team-based robotics building and competitions.
Throughout the month-long project, the Enaxis team identified pain points in the organization’s processes and developed a simplified agile methodology to guide future projects within the organization.
Formed to advance STEM for students in South Texas, ASSiST’s mission statement is “to empower students of all ages to collaboratively explore, learn, and lead using science, technology, engineering, and math.” ASSiST is an affiliation of coaches, educators, and parents dedicated to providing STEM opportunities for students in the Houston area.
