Houston-Based Consulting Firm Recognized by The Society of Green Business
Houston - (August 21, 2008) – Enaxis Consulting, the premiere provider of management consulting, outsourcing advisory and technology advisory services, was awarded the Green Eco Seal™ certification by The Society of Green Business, according to Dhiren Shethia, managing partner and co-founder of Enaxis Consulting.
The Green Eco Seal is granted to businesses in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations and is based on the implementation of resource conservation, waste minimization and pollution prevention practices required by the comprehensive Green Eco Seal™ Criterion.
Enaxis Consulting has implemented many of the measures required to receive the Eco Seal, including:
- Establish an ongoing recycle program
- Establish an internal “Green Team” to enact and sustain the Green Eco Seal™ initiative and corporate “green” programs
- Purchasing eco-friendly products when available
- Institute a formal written policy to turn off equipment when not in use
- Utilize electronic files rather than paper ones
- Discontinue use of Styrofoam
- Purchase paper and paper products with 30-100 percent post consumer waste
- Install occupancy (motion) sensors or timers in low traffic areas
- Use non-toxic water-based markers rather than toxic permanent ink markers/pens
